1. Residency Visa Medical Screening

If you're an expatriate aged 18 or older planning to live or work in the UAE, you must undergo a medical screening to obtain a residency visa. This process confirms that individuals are free from certain communicable diseases and protects public health.

Inclusions:

• Physical Assessment: Conducted by a nurse or physician, if required
• Blood Test: Screens for diseases such as hepatitis, HIV, leprosy, syphilis and tuberculosis

• Standard Screening (AED 250): Results available within 48 hours
• Fast Track Screening (AED 350): Results available within 24 hours
• VIP Screening (AED 500): Same-day results if screening is done before 11:30 am; otherwise, the results will be ready the next morning

For individuals applying for visas to certain countries, specific medical fitness certificates are required as part of the application process. Capital Health Screening Centre provides thorough and prompt medical screenings to meet these embassy requirements.

Results are usually available within 2 to 3 working days. 

Process of Capital Health Screenings

1. Booking an Appointment: Although walk-ins are welcome from Monday to Thursday, it's recommended to book an appointment in advance to minimise waiting times. You can book your appointments conveniently through the website or by calling the toll-free number 800 77.
2. Preparing for Your Visit:
   • Documents: Bring your original or a copy of your insurance card, medical card or insurance receipt, especially if your visa is issued from other Emirates
   • Attire: Wear short sleeves to facilitate blood tests
   • Pregnancy Considerations: If you are pregnant or suspect you might be, it is important to inform the medical staff before undergoing any tests, as certain procedures like chest X-rays can pose risks to the unborn baby. Pregnancy tests are available at an additional charge of AED 50
3. At the Screening Centre:
   • Registration: Upon arrival, register at the reception. The entire process, from registration to completion, usually takes about 15 minutes
