Emirates NBD, among the renowned banks and financial institutions in the UAE, offers various financial services to its customers such as loans, credit cards, and more. However, it also has various travel insurance plans in its collection to help individuals financially cover their trips and travel without any stress.

Among its various benefits, Emirates NBD is renowned for its easy travel insurance claim procedure and high claim settlement ratio. To help you avail of the benefits in case of any requirement while travelling, discussed below in depth are the details of the Emirates travel insurance claim procedure, types of claims, documents required while submitting a claim, and more.

Types of Emirates Travel Insurance Claims

There are mainly two types of claims you can make –

1. Direct Claims

With direct claims, the insurance company pays directly to the treating facility or medical practitioner for the treatment of the insured individual as defined in the travel insurance policy. In case of direct claims, the policyholder must contact the insurance company directly, submit the request, provide them with accurate information, and wait for the approval.

2. Reimbursement Claims

Unlike direct claims, the insured has to settle the bill out of their own pocket and apply for reimbursement from the provider later here. The insurance company then compensates the insured individual per their plan coverage and the benefit sub-limit.

It is advisable to contact the Emirates NBD for reimbursement within 14 days of returning from your journey.
