Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, recently made an announcement regarding the unveiling of the smart city expo Dubai. The Dubai Expo 2020 will be refurbished into Dubai expo city soon.
The transformation will include an exhibition centre, a museum, the headquarters of numerous companies, and residential areas. The UAE Vice President stated that "after the historical success of Expo 2020 Dubai, visited by more than 24 million visitors, left a mark in the 170-year history of world expositions, today we announce the transformation of the exhibition site into expo city Dubai, a new city that represents the ambitions of Dubai."
He also added that the smart city expo Dubai will have a Vision Pavilion and a Women's Pavilion as well. Among these two, the Women's Pavilion will depict female pioneers of the globe, whereas the Vision Pavilion will focus on the vision of the honourable Ruler of Dubai. However, there will be no modifications to the Sustainability Pavilion, the Mobility Pavilion, and the Terra.
Besides sumptuous architecture and paintings, the expo city Dubai is also committed to achieving the utmost level of greenery across the area. As per reports, the concerned authorities have banned the complete use of plastic as a step towards an ecological Dubai expo city. Similar care will be shown towards infrastructure, as the framework of all the buildings will be based on sustainable construction.
