The rules for cabin baggage are different from those for checked-in luggage. You must ensure that the cabin baggage fits in one of the overhead bins or beneath the seat in front of you.

To make the UAE visa application process convenient, Emirates has partnered with VFS Global for their visa services. VFS Global is a commercial company that provides assistance to individuals and travel partners applying for visas to enter the UAE and travel on Emirates Airlines.
Only travellers with a confirmed Emirates booking — one where a ticket for an Emirates flight has already been issued and the desired time in Dubai is specified on the flight itinerary — are eligible for this service. Similarly, flights into and out of Dubai must be on the same ticket (PNR) and must be operated by Emirates.
It is necessary to submit an online application at least 4 international working days before arriving in Dubai, although the airline advises doing so at the earliest.
If you have a family member or close relative who lives in the UAE, they can apply for a visa on your behalf at any of the Emirates ticketing offices in the UAE. Please keep in mind that this service is only available to UAE residents.
