- Select the visa type – resident or work, travel or tourist visas
- Enter the relevant details like passport number, citizenship, and passport’s expiry date
- Complete the captcha verification and press the “Search” tab
- Once you complete these steps, a new web page with your UAE visa details will appear. You can also find out the entry and visa expiry dates.
How to Check UAE Visa Status with GDRFA Portal?
You can check the UAE visa status on the GDRFA portal as well. The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) deals with and provides information about visa-related rules, application status, and queries. However, the portal is right now operational only in Dubai. So if you need to check the UAE visa status for Dubai, you can consider using this portal.
Here are the steps to check the visa status with GRFA –
- Visit the website using the link https://smart.gdrfad.gov.ae/Public_Th/StatusInquiry_New.aspx?GdfraLocale=en-US
- Fill in all the required details in the specified field
- After providing the payment date, the transaction number, and the order number, complete the captcha verification process
- Press the “Search” tab
- You will be directed to the page where you can check the UAE visa status for Dubai

- Verify the information you have provided and click on the “Inquiry” tab
Currently, the portal is functional only in Dubai. You can use a portal like ICA to check the UAE visa status for other emirates. The latter is operational in Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah.
