As mentioned earlier, Sharjah will conduct its UAE national day opening ceremony on 24th November 2022. Al Madam

Al Madam will feature several activities and events on the 29th and 30th of November. This would be a great place for individuals inclined towards arts and shows, as an art exhibition and military and police band performances will be organised for the public. Additionally, the signing of the allegiance charter and a narrator segment will also take place.

There’s plenty in store for those who wish to visit Al Madam in the evening as well, as they can enjoy poetry performances, the Yowlah competition, and various children's activities and workshops, not to mention the opportunity to relish some authentic UAE delicacies.

Dibba Al-Hisn

After the opening ceremony, further events will begin on 25th November. A march performance will take place from the city’s entrance point of Dibba Al-Hisn to the Al-Hisn island canal from 4.00 pm to 09.00 pm. This march is planned to be a cultural fiesta, with multiple performances, operettas, national dances and songs, competitions, folk songs, and more scheduled.

Kalba and Wadi Al Helo

Kalba will initiate its celebrations on 27th November. On the following day, i.e., on 28th November, the Kalba Corniche will hold various events and performances. This will be followed by a march on 30th November in Wadi Al Helo.

The Wadi of Wadi Al Helo will be present at the Heritage Village to contribute to its participation in the events. Besides the march, school performances will also occur in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Information.

He also stated, “Heading towards its centenary and aspiring to a brighter future for its citizens and residents, the UAE continues to excel and lead in various fields, to be a leading global destination for living and working. Today, through our celebrations of National Day in Sharjah, we honour the people who built this country in just five decades. We also honour the efforts of residents who participate alongside citizens in continually building the UAE, and we welcome visitors to Sharjah and the UAE.”
