The UAE has expanded its visa-on-arrival services for Indian nationals, making travel easier than ever before with valid residence permits, visas, or green cards from six other countries. As per the latest order, Indians with green cards from Singapore, Australia, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, and South Korea are now eligible for the UAE visa on arrival at all the entry points.

This facility was previously granted to Indians with valid documents from the United States, the United Kingdom, and European Union member countries. Now, they have expanded the regulations and offered visa-on-arrival for six more countries, improving the UAE-India relationship and travel experiences for Indian nationals.

Who is Eligible for This Programme?

To be eligible for the visa-on-arrival, Indian travelers must ensure that they are meeting the rules and regulations set by the UAE. The eligibility criteria include:

  • Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival in the UAE.
  • You must have a valid visa and residence permit.
  • Green card from any of the six additional countries on the list (Singapore, Australia, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, and South Korea)

Visa Fees

According to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP), along with valid documents, travelers must pay nominal visa fees at the time of arrival that are as follows:

  • For a 14-day visa: Dh100
  • Extending the visa for another 14 days: Dh250
  • For a 60-day visa: Dh250

Objective Behind the UAE Visa on Arrival Initiative

This initiative—UAE visa on arrival for Indian passports—is part of the UAE's broader strategy to attract more visitors and strengthen its position as a worldwide hub for tourism and business.

By simplifying entry requirements for a larger segment of Indian travelers, the UAE aims to foster increased economic and cultural exchanges between the two nations. Additionally, it has given the opportunity to Indian nationals to explore the country’s residency, rich culture/lifestyle, employment, unique architecture, and more.
