Good News for GCC Residents: Apply Online to Get Entry Permit Says GDRFAD

Right before the Eid Al-Adha holidays, Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs Department (GDRFAD) activated a special visa service for GCC residents. As per an exclusive announcement via an Instagram post. GDRFAD has started to issue an advance online entry permit to travellers residing in GCC nations so that they can easily enter the UAE.

It’s worth noting that it is mandatory for the residents to have their original passports. Furthermore, they should present the original residence permit that the GCC country where they are currently living issued. Another requirement to get an entry permit is a civil or a labour card.

The GDRFAD website has stated some terms and conditions for GCC residents to comply with -

  • The traveller should have a valid residence permit for at least 1 year.
  • There should not be any legal restrictions that prevent the applicant from entering the UAE.
  • The work or residency permit needs to mention the profession of the traveller.

The process for applying for an entry permit is pretty simple. As a GCC resident, you first need to login to GDRFAD’s website using your UAE pass or username, select the relevant service and fill in the application. Once done, pay the fee of AED 250 along with the VAT.

Note - This online entry permit service is available on the department’s digital channels round-the-clock. Once you submit the application, you will receive the entry permit within 48 hours provided you fulfil the particular requirements.
